Who We Are
The Persian American Civic Action Network (PACAN) is a non-profit organization founded in 2019, dedicated to empowering Iranian Americans through civic engagement, community outreach, and activism. Headquartered in Los Angeles, CA, PACAN works to restore diplomatic relations between the United States and a free, democratic, and secular Iran by promoting informed dialogue, policy recommendations, and cultural awareness.

Empowering Iranian Americans for civic engagement and activism for the restoration of diplomatic relations between the United States and a free, democratic and secular Iran Founded in 2019, the Persian American Civic Action Network, a non-profit 501(c)(3) & 501(c)(4) organization headquartered in Los Angeles, CA is dedicated to empowering Iranian Americans for civic engagement, community outreach and activism.
Informing Policy and Public Discourse
PACAN has taken certain positive measures with the aim of bridging the gap and restoring diplomatic relations between the United States and a free, democratic and secular Iran. Our objective is to provide expert analysis and thoughtful recommendations on US foreign policy on Iran. By conducting in-depth research and fostering open dialogue among stakeholders, we aim to inform public discourse and shape effective and responsible policy decisions at the national and international level.
Building Awareness and Partnerships
We also make great efforts to raise public awareness and understanding about the history, culture and strength of the Iranian-American community with the purpose of encouraging cooperation based on common values, while building partnerships to make positive contributions.
Creating Meaningful Change
PACAN strives to foster goodwill and promote harmony within our communities by addressing important issues, strengthening relationships through collaboration and advancing the development of new and innovative solutions, that will have the potential to create lasting and meaningful change in the world.
